Privacy Policy

The short version:

• There is no Blockproof account and no Blockproof server. We run none. We never receive your scores, your saves, or anything else about you.
• The game keeps a save file on your device. If you have iCloud or Play Games turned on, a copy is kept in your Apple or Google account so a new phone can restore it. That copy is yours, not ours.
• Adverts come from Google AdMob, which does collect data. That is the one thing here that does. You can switch adverts off by buying the upgrade, and refusing tracking costs you nothing in the game.
• There is no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK in this app.

1. There is no account and no server

Blockproof has nothing to sign up for. There is no login, no profile, and no server belonging to us for anything to be sent to. Your best score, your daily streak, the levels you have finished and the settings you have chosen exist in a file on your phone and nowhere else that we can reach.

This is worth stating plainly because the game makes a claim about fairness — that the piece generator cannot see your score, your record, how long you have played or whether you have paid. That claim would be hollow if any of it were being collected somewhere. It is not.

2. The save file, and its backup

The game writes one save file to its own storage on your device. It holds your records, your progress, your settings and any run you left unfinished.

iOS — iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, a copy of that save is kept in your own iCloud key-value storage, so switching phones does not lose your streak. It lives in your Apple account under Apple's terms. We cannot read it. Turning iCloud off for the app stops this; nothing else changes.

Android — Play Games

If you have Google Play Games enabled, the same save is kept as a Play Games saved game in your own Google account, for the same reason. We do not ask you to sign in and we cannot read what is stored. Players who do not use Play Games simply keep the local file.

3. Adverts

The free version shows an advert between games — at most twice per session, never during play, and never on your first game. Those adverts are served by Google AdMob, and Google collects data in order to serve and measure them: device and advertising identifiers, IP address, coarse location derived from it, and how you interacted with the advert.

That is genuinely a separate system from the game. Nothing an advert network knows reaches the board you play on, and the piece generator has no field for any of it. But it collects, and saying otherwise would be untrue.

Personalised or not

• In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform appears before any advert is requested. Your answer there decides whether adverts are personalised.
• On iOS, the system asks separately for permission to track. We ask it after you have seen your first advert rather than at launch, so the question means something when it arrives. Saying no gives you non-personalised adverts and changes nothing else.

Buying the ad-free upgrade stops adverts being requested at all, on every device signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account.

4. The purchase

The only thing sold is the removal of adverts. It is a one-time purchase, and it is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your card, your name or your address — the store tells the app only whether the upgrade is owned.

Refunds are handled by whichever store you bought from, under their terms.

5. What we do not do

• No analytics SDK. We do not measure sessions, funnels or retention.
• No crash-reporting SDK.
• No advertising or marketing lists. There is nothing to add you to.
• No selling or sharing of personal information to third parties for money.
• No access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location. The app does not ask for these permissions because it does not use them.

6. Children

Blockproof is a block puzzle with no chat, no user-generated content and no way for players to contact each other. Duel codes describe a sequence of pieces and carry no message and no identity.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Where a store's age signals indicate a child, Google's advert requests are restricted accordingly.

7. Your choices

• Adverts: buy the upgrade to stop them, or decline personalisation and keep them non-personalised.
• Advertising identifier: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or Android Settings → Google → Ads.
• Cloud copy: turn off iCloud for the app, or Play Games, and only the local file remains.
• Delete everything: uninstalling removes the save on the device. To remove the cloud copy as well, delete the app's iCloud data in iOS Settings, or the saved game in the Play Games app.

Because we hold nothing, there is no request you need to send us to have your data erased — there is nothing of yours on our side to erase.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that meaningfully affects what leaves your device will be described in the app's release notes rather than only here.
